Where the turquoise-blue sky meets the abundant earth..Where antelope and eagles, time stops and.. You begin!

Jangchub Gepel Ling (Land of Increasing Virtue and Enlightenment), is a remote 40-acre site located 15 miles from the closest town and surrounded by National Forest. It is the perfect setting for mindfulness training and spiritual accomplishment.
Formerly a working ranch, built over a hundred years ago, Jangchub Gepel Ling is now the home of a future Holistic Retreat Center devoted to healing body, mind and spirit. It will house buddhist monks, Apache ceremonies, Holistic Healers, an animal sanctuary and all wildlife will be protected from hunting. A lake stands at the entrance of the property. It is a place of serenity and sacredness, where visitors are encouraged to be aware of the environment and to practice active compassion. The views, the nature, and the wildlife are inspiring.
Although not currently open to the general public, our intention is to develop Jangchub Gepel Ling into a Holistic Retreat Center for individuals, and/or other compassion-based organizations by 2012.
Jangchub Gepel Ling is remote and rustic and in need of environmentally friendly development, consistent with our desire to offer it for use by other compassion-based organizations. If you would like to be involved in a project of this sort, please contact us EMAIL or call: (480) 212 6747.

Jangchub Gepel Ling Holistic Retreat Center has the blessings of Diana’s Gurus: His Eminence Lati Rinpoche,Venerable Tulku Gangkar Rinpoche, Venerable Geshe Nagwang Dakpa, Venerable Lama Zopa Rinpoche, Venerable Thubten Rinpoche and Venerable Geshe Tenzin all of them from the Tibetan Gelugpa lineage.
It also got the blessing from the Apache Medicine Man from the White River Apache reservation and all native american ceremonies will be guided by him.
Diana’s engaging teaching style is perfectly attuned to the contemporary Western mind. Diana Gorbea will tell you that she is “just a girl from Argentina”. Her students will tell you that she is a wise, loving, and compassionate teacher who draws on her own experiences as a modern South American woman in making accessible to them the most profound teachings.
From childhood, Diana has devoted herself to channeling Saint Francis through healing animals and homeless, meditation and the alleviation of the world’s suffering.
The Mission:
The mission of Jangchub Gepel Ling is to support those persons seeking to reconnect with their true “Self” through a seven, fourteen or twenty one day mind-body- spirit healing program.
Gepel Ling purchased 40 acres in the Concho Valley, AZ which is home to a Holistic Retreat Center for students to stay and practice compassionate meditation and develop healing skills. This Concho Valley Retreat is a tranquil place for holistic healings, meditation, education and retreat.
Location:
The Holsitic Retreat Center is built in a 40 acre land and it is in a secluded valley at 3:30 -minutes (160 miles) distance from the Phoenix, Arizona, and is surrounded by one million acres of National Forest at the feet of two extinguished volcanoes.
The Center offers the opportunity to “retreat” from the “bus-i-ness” of life while providing the optimal condition and the services to assist in connecting with and expressing who you are, being your True Authentic Self through learning healing techniques and detoxing your body.
Vision:
Our Holistic Retreat Center is a spiritual community open to all religions based on love and compassion, eco village and an international centre for holistic healing and education, helping to unfold a new human consciousness and create a positive and sustainable future bringing Dharma, meditations teachings and holistic healings to the community.
By living and working together, putting spiritual values of harm no one into practice, we want to create a positive and sustainable future for humanity and the planet.
One way to connect with Jangchub Gepel Ling in support of this mission is as an “Angel Sponsor”.

Venerable Lati Rinpoche (Spiritual Director)
Venerable Gongkar Rinpoche Director
Diana Gorbea (Founder and President)

Venerable Geshe Gendun Director
How it all got started:
In 2004, Diana Gorbea had a vision to find an isolated mountain to bring people to heal themselves. She had just moved to Phoenix after having lived in California for the past 15 years.
This vision stayed with her for many years until one day she heard the calling, guiding her to the right location.
The vision was of building a residential facility near Phoenix, AZ to benefit students and people who were in need of more intense healing and willing to take responsibility for their lives and have Tibetan monks and Native American Shamans live and teach at the place. She also wanted to bring her teachers to share their knowledge combining East and West, South and North Healing techniques.
With this vision, Diana has traveled all over the world in search of the right property but struggled to find that perfect home. Finally in February of 2008, she found a beautiful place in the Apache Nation just 160 miles from Phoenix, AZ. Or the place called her?
This 40 acre, pristine property has beautiful views of the White Mountains and the volcanoes. A water well and telephone service are presently installed, and solar power will be added.
Diana envisions the property as sustainable and “green”. By keeping the land pure, inhabitants and visitors will experience the best environment for deep healing and peace.
In 2000 Diana founded Jangchub Gepel Ling, a non-profit 501(C) 3 as a Buddhist spiritual/religious organization under the direct Spiritual Guidance of His Eminence Venerable Lati Rinpoche ex Abbot of Gaden Shartse Monastery and Teacher for His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
We would like this Retreat to attract many people, both in a group and individual format, who are committed to making the next step on their spiritual and healing path. We continue to present ourselves to the world, and each new day brings more people to Diana’s mission of service and peace to the world.
Diana Gorbea first visited the 40 acre property in the spring of 2008. “The air had a slight chill, which awakened the soul. The clear skies and bright sun warmed our core. We felt more alive, closer to Mother Earth, and closer to the divine. Immediately, we fell in love with the land and knew that this place could transform the consciousness of mankind. With this land, we all, can return to our natural state, one with the divine.” Diana said.
For 10 years Diana has carried the full financial burden of the Jangchub Gepel Ling organization. She now intends to grow the organization beyond just her effort alone. She knows that the organization’s mission of service can reach more persons in need, but she cannot do this alone. At this moment, it is time for a re-structuring in order to create a stable and independent financial foundation for Jangchub Gepel Ling.
Angel Sponsors:
We have the desire to have participation in the financing by people who believe in what we are doing and who are in the position to support Jangchub Gepel Ling not only with money, but also with the awareness that, by supporting our work, they contribute to the raising of the frequency of many and thus to changing the world. We are looking for angel sponsors who can help develop the land and also can help building accommodations, septic systems, solar panels, and pumps in order to have the facility up and running by the end of 2012.
We are taking an active approach in finding people who are willing to assist in financially supporting this wonderful project and bring the Retreat Center into full maturity. It is time for sharing and it is our desire to establish a sense of oneness on all levels.
Center’s Philosophy:
Jangchub Gepel Ling’s philosophy is that we are here to create Heaven on Earth by fully expressing our true selves and by assisting others to do the same combining East and West Healing modalities.
This philosophy is based upon the following statements:
May the hearts of all beings be filled with happiness and peace (free from suffering and distress)
May all beings be safe and secure (free from fear and harm) May all beings be healthy and prosperous (free from pain, illness and lack)
May all beings live joyfully and with ease (free from struggle and conflict) May all beings heal their body, spirit and mind and help others do so.
The Spiritual Center:
The Center’s mission is to create a Holistic Spiritual Center and a residential facility to provide a holistic environment, spiritual services to facilitate all who visit, live and work at the Center to experience loving compassion .
This is achieved by:
Creating facilities, lodging, services, programs, activities, and experiences that support those invited, called or guided to come to the Center:
a. To experience our oneness with the Earth and the Universe
b. To embrace our Divine nature and to be our authentic and true selves
c. To feel, heal, cleanse and strengthen all of our energy bodies, including our physical body
d. To understand and work with the principle of true abundance.
We did not select a site just because it was convenient. We looked at the energies of the land and selected places that harmonized the purpose of the building and the energies of the land as optimally as humanly possible.
Buildings:
Our vision of building is focused on working with ‘green’ building materials. The health and well-being of ourselves, of our guests/visitors and of our environment gets much attention.
The Retreat Cabins:
There will be seven planned retreat cabins on site. They will be located closest to the existing guesthouses. Each of the cabins will be 12×24 feet. They will accommodate two-three persons, furnished either with single beds or bunk beds.
As of November 2008, two cabins are finished with one bathroom each.
One cabin has 4 bunkbeds and a bathroom, the other cabin has a main room with two bedroomss, a kitchen and a bathroom with a bathtub and a shower.
Main Lodge
The Lodge will replace the main building. it will host space for teachings and a teaching room with space up to 100 participants.
The Native American Tipi and Sweat lodge. It will offer space for ceremony or similar group gatherings. Its 22ft diameter will host groups of 30-35 persons seated.
Greenhouses
Seeds grow rapidly to maturity without losing any of the nutrition and flavor. Delicious and lush vegetation, even during freezing Arizona weather! Everything grown in our greenhouses will be lush and tasty.
Wherever you find your place, you will experience a sense of privacy within your own world. You may be one of many looking for a place to retreat from your busy and stressful life. You may be searching for something more than just a vacation. You are on a spiritual path looking for an environment that contributes to your journey, the search for your true authentic self.
It is the Center’s mission to create an environment that will support that journey. The energies of this land, through which Apache energy flows, together with the surrounding untouched high desert provide a natural support. We invite you to participate and help us build our vision. The well water is very healing and alkaline to help with the detox process and the wind and the altitude are just perfect for healing body, mind and spirit.
All individual retreats will include use of the workshops and all the outdoor features as described.
Therapies will include:
Yoga, Meditation, Reiki, Therapeutic Massage, Gestalt Therapy, Acupuncture, Tibetan Herbal Therapy, Juice fasting, holistic organic gardening, Rock therapy, Spiritual and Life Coaching, Native American Sweatlodges and Horse Therapy.
We hope that you can become a Sponsor and volunteer at our Retreat Center!
Until then, blessings to you and your family.
Awareness of the Land, the Climate & the Environment:
The Center is a close-to-nature retreat. Prepare emotionally and practically. We share the environment with plant and animal life. Concho is high desert country with hawks, eagles, antilopes, cows, horses, elk, coyotes, snakes and mountain Lions.
No intoxicants, cigarettes, loud music, laptops and/or alcohol are allowed in our property.
Jangchub Gepel Ling is a natural setting and your visit here is the perfect opportunity to be nurtured by the elements. It is an all camping Retreat. There are an abundance of beautiful, camping spaces to pitch a tent. Gepel Ling is a wonderful place to get close to Mother Earth. If you are not a “camper,” we highly encourage you to give it a try. Our staff will help you find the perfect camping space, help you pitch your tent and assist you in finding comfort! There is a communal sink with running water, an outdoor cold water shower area and multiple portable toilets for your convenience.
This rejuvenation retreat is about employing what is essential to your well-being: pure food, healing water, sunshine, earth, fresh air and lots of laughter! You will have the opportunity to connect with nature and community, learn about vibrant living, clear your mind, purify your body and soften your heart.
Drink lots of water. Guard against over-exposure to the sun. Winter nights may bring temperatures in the 0’s and snow. The land is dark at night – visitors and guests must bring a flashlight for use at night. The water from the tap comes from our well and is excellent for drinking.
Recycle as much as possible. Please reuse your water bottles.
