Teacher, Healer, Psychic, Author, Mystic. Diana Gorbea (Jangchub Pelmo) is all of these. For the past 28 years, she has traveled around the world – 5 continent’s total – working in a broad spectrum of modalities. Her journey and her message are simple, yet ultimately affect us all, “…Healing the sick and saving lives isn’t a business, it’s a duty and privilege.”
Diana was born In Argentina, into a family of healers, dating back to her maternal great, great grandmother. At the age of thirteen, Diana suffered a head injury and slipped into a coma. Diana experienced an out-of-body encounter, in which she found herself in the upper corner of her hospital room, looking down on everything happening below. Not so long after waking from the coma, at fourteen, Diana lost her mother – and experienced a spiritual awakening. After years of fighting the idea of being a healer, like so many of her ancestors, Diana made a vow to devote her life to the work of removing suffering from all beings.
Diana learned Shiatsu and other Japanese healing techniques while studying under Master Ryotan Tokuda, at Sensei’s Tokuda Monastery. Diana lived in the jungles of South America, learning healings from the local Shamans. She lived among South American tribes, learning their ways of healing with herbs and prayers. Diana then studied the Buddhist Teachings, under the direct spiritual guidance if the Rinpoches of the Himalayan region. By the age of eighteen, Diana renounced her aristocratic family life in Argentina, devoting her life to living by the philosophy of “service to man is service to God.”
Diana’s work as an energy healer has taken her all over South America, Asia, Europe, Canada and the U.S.. And she continues traveling to different countries, teaching and learning healing ways: She offers free and sliding scale therapies for the terminally ill; she helps children with HIV in under developed countries and tribes; and presently, she is working on reestablishing homeless children back into society, establishing a clinic and building a 35 foot stupa in the himalayan region of Mon-Tawan, India, and teaching meditation in prisons, through the Liberation Prison Project. Diana holds a Bachelor in Natural Health Sciences, a Masters in Herbal Studies, a Doctorate in Naturopathy, and a four year Masters in Auricular Therapy and Chinese Medical Qi Gong.
Today, Diana lives in Arizona with her children and adopted animals, performing healings and teaching workshops alongside her most close students, as well as building a retreat center in the White Mountains.
She offers Empowering workshops and therapies for people of all ages and from all walks of life, with all types of health challenges (including relaxation techniques, allergies, cancer, anxiety, depression, grief, and more). Diana empowers individuals to use their own healing powers. She guides your own healing abilities in the right direction and gives you tools for improving and maintaining your health.
Diana has walked on fire, hunted for medical plants, swam with piranhas, drank unpleasant Shamanic liquors, and conquered her own demons and fears, all for the work of the people, “…for the benefit of all sentient beings, may they be free from suffering and their causes.”
